It is said that seeing an hour in the clock with equal, double, numbers is a sign of good luck.
14:14 18:18 20:20 15:15 21:21 16:16 23:23 11:11 17:17 22:22 12:12 19:19
A moment of coincidence between you and the passage of time.
In double:double a collection of mobile phone screenshots punctuates the unfolding of the body on stage; a body engaged in chasing that strange feeling of correspondence, of synchrony with things.
The encounter between movement and this digital collection of coincidences allows anatomy and thought to explore and problematize the concept of punctuality, exactitude, rightness.
Adherence to self-perception and external space become pivotal tools to trigger an iridescent and ephemeral dialogue.
double:double is an attempt of reflection or symmetry with the unfolding of a mysterious and unpredictable time that, on stage, is inexorably marked by the projections on the back, generating an environment punctuated by coincidences, maybe from the past or maybe from the future.
What does it mean to be in the right place at the right time?
