Alejandro Moya

Alejandro Moya (Madrid, 1993) is a choreographer, performer, and movement artist whose work bridges contemporary dance, physical theatre, and the influence of traditional and popular movement practices.
He began his artistic journey through breakdance at an early age, later training in contemporary dance at the Professional Conservatory of Madrid. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading European dance makers and companies, including Dani Pannullo, Sharon Fridman, Antonio Ruz, Korsia, and the internationally acclaimed Belgian company Peeping Tom, with whom he has toured extensively since 2020.
Alongside his work as a performer, Moya has developed an emerging choreographic voice rooted in the relationship between physical action, ritual, memory, and transformation. His first solo work, LUCERO (2023), premiered at Teatros del Canal in Madrid, exploring the intersections of folklore, literature, and history. In 2025, he premiered DESVELO at Menorca en Dansa, a contemporary dance solo inspired by craftsmanship, contemplation, and the transformative nature of manual labour.
His choreographic creations also include Senza Scola (2022) for Equilibrio Dinamico Ensemble in Italy and Las Descalzas (2023) for Compañía Descalzinha in Madrid.
Through both performance and creation, Alejandro Moya investigates how physical work, imagination, and cultural memory can generate spaces of presence, transformation, and poetic experience.
