Italian-Japanese artist, Masako Matsushita deals with movement analysis through research processes, choreography and dance, performative installations and social experiments. She explores the presence of the body in space aiming to generate architectures for socialisation through senses, scores, maps and ways of gazing. Together with Ingvild Isaksen they form a duo named A mas.ing touring with the work LAND SKAP and Still | Moving.
Masako closely collaborates with CSC Centro per la Scena Contemporanea of Bassano del Grappa taking part in Creative Europe Projects such as: Dancing Museum 2-The Democracy of Being supported by amongst the Italian partners Arte Sella, Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, CA’ Foscari University in Venezia, Museum of Human E-Motion supported by La Briqueterie (FR), National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (TW), Saison Foundation and Morishita Studio(JP), Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo and Parigi. Masako is one of the founders of 4bid Gallery Amsterdam and initiator of the creative process named Diary of a Move.
