Alessio Damiani was born in 1993 in Palermo, Italy, where he also started his educational school for dancing. At the age of 18 he joined the young company Agora Coaching Project under the direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli.
Since 2013 he worked as a Freelance dance and as a Teacher in his home country as well as in Germany. Dancer since March 2017 of the Hessisches Staatsballett in Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He worked with international choreographers such us Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Imre and Marne Van Opstal,Damien Jalet, Eyal Dadon, Nadav Zelner, Edward Clug.
During the last years he started his career as choreographer and with his last work Burdens of Being he has been on tour and selected as finalist of choreographic competitions such as Barnes crossing, 38. International competition in Hannover, Concúrso coreografico internaciónal Burgos y Nueva York, Prospettiva Danza Teatro Padova and in festivals like Quinzena de dança de Almada, TanzBiennale Heidelberg and in November part of the Festival de Danse de Cannes and the festival Corto in Danza in Cagliari.
In February 2026 invited as guest at the international Gala organised by Staatstheater Augsburg.
Recently he has made the creation Echoes of your Loss for the Companhia de dança de Almada.
He has been selected with When we Collide to the international choreographic duet competition in Rotterdam RIDCC June 2026 and for his first time to the platform Anticorpi XL Network 2026.
In June he has been creating for M.A.D. in Malta presenting 2 new choreographies during the Malta International Art Festival.
