Stefania Menestrina (Italian, 25 years old) and Sofia Galvan (Italian-Georgian, 22 years old) both trained at the Opus Ballet choreographic center in Florence, later joining C.O.B Compagnia Opus Ballet.
They work with several choreographers from the Italian scene including; Carlo Massari, Giovanni Gava Leonarduzzi, Adriano Bolognino, Marina Giovannini and others. Parallel to dance, they enrich their artistic beam with interest in other disciplines. Stefania studied piano from an early age and has been approaching music production for a few years, Sofia grew up in a family environment of musicians and studied acting for 5 years.
In 2021 they begin their research path discovering a great harmony and complicity, trying to find their ideal imaginary between dance, theater and music. Their first duet Afterimage (2021) wins the first prize at the Slovenian choreography competition Opus1 dance competition. The second work OTOTEMAN (2022) debuts at the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte festival in Montepulciano and is a winning project of the 13th International Prize Prospettiva Danza Teatro. It is also selected for the FuoriFormato Festival and the Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra. Also In 2023, OTOTEMAN_what if, the extended version of the previous work in co-production with Festival Danza In Rete and with the support of Scenario Pubblico Centro di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale, debuts at the Municipal Theater of Vicenza. He is subsequently selected for Direction Under 30 of the Teatro Sociale Gualtieri.
