Bianca Berger

Bianca Berger was born in 1998 in Locarno, Switzerland, where she attended high school and urban dance classes. She starts her dance studies at the Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School (1 year pre-education), to then attend Studio XL (1 year training in Reggio Emilia), and finally she completes the Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Choreography at the Danish National School of Performing Arts (DDSKS) in Copenhagen. At the same time, she attends the Faculty of Mathematics in remote at the University of Bologna.
From 2012 to 2017 she dances in the training companies TNT in Neuchâtel and ONYX in Zurich, both focused on urban and commercial dance.
From 2017 to 2019 she dances in productions (in a school context) by Laura Matano, Taulant Shehu, Daniele Bianco, Virginia Spallarossa, Damian Munoz.
From 2019 to 2022 she takes part as a dancer and collaborator in productions (in a school context) featuring choreographers as Samuel Feldhandler (For Five, Copenhagen), Manon Siv (Hammering, Copenhagen and Aahrus), Renan Martins (FLASH MOB, Copenhagen) and Matija Ferlin (Students of insistence, Copenhagen).
In 2022 she dances for Jernej Bizjak in the UP-AND-DOWN production in Roskilde at the SWOP festival, she takes part as a dancer in thedailyxrcise’s music video Be Around and collaborates with documentary filmmaker Ömer Sami on various projects. She has also done an internship with Rauel Gualtero in Barcelona in December 2021.
She began her authorial journey in 2013 creating urban dance choreography with a youth group called Shakti. She choreographed How manY storms must I weather before I understand this (in collaboration with Linn Fletcher) and Oltr3, a choreography aimed at a video with Studio XL dancers.
During his last year at DDSKS she dedicated herself to the creation of fermati, a work focused on the encounter between dance and mathematics. The work has been presented in Copenhagen, selected for an artistic residency in Arbedo at Lo Studio, selected for AabentLab in Roskilde, and for the Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra.
