We turn to anatomical ex-votos, small votive figurines that have held great symbolic value since ancient times. Resilient to the passage of time, they know no division between paganism and Christianity. Specific parts of the body are reproduced, disconnected from an unseen whole, carrying a silent narrative -where pain and fear give rise to a desire for redemption.
The fear embedded in the ex-voto awakens the pre-individual time and the ancestral memory of instinct, which guides gestures toward salvation and weaves the choreography of alertness.
