ERTZA was born in 2004 under the direction of the dancer and choreographer Asier Zabaleta, with the aim of opening a new space for choreographic creation free of ties and conventions; and where you can create projects in collaboration with artists from other disciplines or in the search for new fusion languages between different dance styles.
ERTZA’s works raise questions about human and social contradictions and invite the public in a playful and aesthetic way, to reflect on hot topics and to take an active position in the face of what they are seeing.
Since its creation, ERTZA has presented its works in countries such as: China, Philippines, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Israel, Russia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, Mozambique, Portugal and Spain.
