The 25th edition of Ammutinamenti Festival focuses on two actions: looking back at the brave, visionary, creative thought of the Festival itself and projecting into the future to bet on it. FUTURA (“things that will happen”in Latin) celebrates inherited projects and values that are able to metamorphose and change their shapes to persist and blossom perpetually. Side by side, we walk down our beloved places: from centre to suburbs, we discover forgotten and new spaces; we are the key figures and witnesses of dance transforming and regenerative power. We consolidate long-term relationships and create new connections to discover fresh links between spaces and bodies. We welcome multiple and divergent visions of artists describing the present and suggesting new directions for tomorrow. Using different languages and formats, our wide programme addresses to a larger public and different generations in new parts of the day. This Festival is a workshop where observing the contemporary artistic creation; it’s a filter to interpret the world and to develop artistic practices for people to get closed. It is a deep process in progress, redefining our identity and looking for a new way of conceiving the artistic direction. FUTURA is the expression of its past and, at the same time, the projection of all its possible futures.
