The artistic collaboration between Camilla Guarino and Giulia Campolmi has grown over the years, driven by an enthusiasm that embraces their different artistic backgrounds. Experimenting with the body’s presence and movement in connection with words is the starting point of their artistic processes. Since Let me be (2021), they have sought to discover and reflect on the meanings and forms that neither could have created alone. At the moment they are working on their new creation Lovely Animal.
Camilla Guarino is a performer and author who has studied dance since childhood. She holds a degree from DAMS Bologna and a Master’s degree in Dramaturgy and Screenwriting from the Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts. In 2021 and 2022, she debuted alongside Giuseppe Comuniello as both author and performer with Let Me Be and Pornodrama, produced by Versiliadanza, where she is an associated artist. In 2025, she debuts as an author alongside Giulia Campolmi with Paso Doble. She writes and performs audio descriptions for dance through dramaturgical work tied to poetry, collaborating with international theaters, festivals, and artists. Since 2023, she is a tutor for the Creazioni Accessibili project by Orbita Spellbound, curated by Dalila D’Amico.
Giulia Campolmi holds a degree in Theatre Practice and Design for Performance from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. She specializes in creating site-specific shows, with a particular interest in the collaborative process of Devised Theatre. In London, she worked as an associated artist for Shunt Events and collaborated with other artists and organizations, including Artangel, Hofesh Shechter, Veronique Van Meerbek, and Tina Lonergan. In Italy, she also worked as a set and costume designer for Romeo Castellucci’s tour of Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, while simultaneously earning a Master in Editorial Illustration. Today, she combines her work in the performing arts with her career as an illustrator.
In 2021, she began her artistic collaboration with Camilla Guarino and Giuseppe Comuniello for Let Me Be, performing its poetic audio description.
