Walt is 13 years old and lives in a future society where a totalitarian state controls everything he does. Passionate about planes and clouds, he soon finds he can no longer dream of flying due to heavy restrictions imposed on citizens. So he decides to pursue his greatest dream: learning to fly on his own.
Set in a future time, the play narrates the exploits of young Walt, a 13-year-old physics and space enthusiast. Raised with the dream of flying, he finds himself up against a tyrannical regime that deprives him of the possibility of following his own plans. Undeterred, Walt arms himself with his best talent, curiosity, and embarks on a journey to find the secret to learning to fly.

Director’s notes
Inspired by texts such as Paul Auster’s Mr Vertigo, Ray Bradbury’s Fahreneit 451, J. D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye and elements of quantum physics from the writings of Carlo Rovelli, we were confronted with the desire to tell a story about freedom and its disappearance.
Allowing oneself the chance to dream and experiment is a prerequisite for the younger generation, which is why the protagonist decides to use his knowledge and vitality to fulfil his personal destiny. Fascinated by the desire to fly that has always involved mankind, we decided to write a dramaturgy that does not renounce a visionary and surreal dimension. Faced with an injustice he has suffered, the young protagonist decides to arm himself with imagination and courage and set off in search of a formula to fly independently, without the need for instruments or machinery. This journey will allow him to meet and confront his own talent, through limits and possibilities, dangers and treasures.
