Ofelia Omoyele Balogun is a movement artist, choreographer and educator of half-Sicilian and half-Nigerian origin, with a degree in Social Sciences. She studied at Irie! Dance Theatre | Roehampton University of London, obtaining a First Class BA (Hons) in Diverse Dance Styles Degree. In 2022 she was invited as Youth Ambassador to the International Culture Summit in Edinburgh for cultural education. Her practice supports refugee women organisations, educational institutions and training based on psycho-physical practices. Her research explores the intersection of the whole African vocabulary coming from the Caribbean and the worldwide diaspora together with its connection with dance, theatre and symbolism.
