On the edge of the world, there, where solitude prevails, there, where great questions arise, the soul pulls its weight ; here, as a support, palpable is the flesh that I cannot avoid. When gazes are absent, when seeing doesn’t encompass to be seen, when the other ceases to face me, ceases to reveal me, commonplaces fade away. The eye tilted over, visceral darkness. It is a time of withdrawal, a suspended time when the ordeal of the self is one of unbiased senses.

« To do the experience of oneself » is the opening act of this project that aims at going back to the root of the challenges undertaken in a life of flesh, a physical state constrained by gravity. It is about facing one’s embodiment from an intimate as well as fundamental point of view, when the original torment of a being surfaces, the incarnated being. The solitude of one’s own body echoes the solo work, in which the act of performance is considered through its capacity at raising the very question of existence.
