Camilla Montesi (1993, Fabriano) is an Italian dancer and choreographer. She graduated in Associazione Balletto Classico Cosi Stefanescu in Reggio Emilia in 2012 and continued her studies by attending the Agora Coaching Project training course directed by Michele Merola. As a dancer, she has collaborated with Compagnia Zappalà Danza, DNA of Elisa Pagani, Compagnia della Quarta, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Davide Sportelli, Diego Tortelli, Alessio Maria Romano (Venice Biennale 2020), Gartnerplatz Theater, Korzo Theater and with choreographer Samir Calixto.
At the same time she develops an authorial path and in 2021 she founded Etre, a collective that promotes dance in the Marche region, inhabiting public and historical spaces unprecedented for performance. Her language is constantly developing and is fuelled by passions like cinema and literature: a research that aspires to the natural flexion of the body, to its dynamism and expression.
Her first work Caronte debuted at Santarcangelo Festival 2022, won the Focus Danza prize at the EXposizioni Festival and is selected for Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra 2023.
